Concordia Lutheran Church

Concordia Lutheran Church was established by Pastor Ernst Gerhard Wilhelm Keyl in 1839, in his house. In 1843-44, a log cabin, 17 x 27 feet was built. Rev. Christoph Henirich Loeber was pastor from 1850-1862, and under his guidance a rock church was built in 1854, 44 x 30 feet, and 16 feet high (He was the son of the minister at Altenburg). During the Civil War, the church in Frohna merged with Trinity Church in Altenburg. In 1874, J. F. Koestering built a larger frame church, 60 x 36, by 22 ft high. This church had two aisles, but was remodeled in 1949 to a central aisles. The original pews, altar, pulpit were kept. The church parishes officially separated again in 1877, and have been separate since then. P.O. 1870-date.
